Potato fondue with bacon is a perfect recipe to share for family gatherings or among friends. It is both easy to find the ingredients and to prepare! A time-saving trick is to cook the potatoes using Rena Ware’s “water-less” method. Cooking the potatoes over medium heat will intensify flavor and the potatoes will maintain their color and texture. There is no need to add salt to this fondue since the ingredients give it a delicious flavor without added salt.

Potato Fondue with Bacon

225 grams (½ pound) of diced bacon
225 grams (½ pound) of Yukon Gold potatoes or other small potatoes
1 cup of milk
¼ cup of water
350 grams (¾ pound) of mozzarella cheese
Parsley to taste

Chop the bacon into small pieces and set aside. With the help of the Chef’s knife from our Elite Series Cutlery Set, cut the potatoes in half, and then add the water to the 4 Litre Utensil and add the potatoes. Cover the utensil and set the Nutri ✓ Sensor to “open”. Cook on medium heat until the whistle sounds. Close the valve and reduce the heat.

After 15 minutes, transfer the potatoes to a large bowl and mash them using the Spoonula or a wooden spoon to make a thick puree.

Remove all bits of potatoes that might been left in the utensil. Add the bacon and brown it on medium heat. Add the pureed potatoes, the milk, the seasoning, and mix. Add the parsley and finally the key ingredient of this recipe, the mozzarella cheese.

Continue mixing, always on medium heat, until the cheese melts completely. Remove from heat, sprinkle with more parsley to make it look even tastier, and serve immediately.
