If one of your passions is turning mere gatherings into celebrations starring your favorite homemade dishes, you probably already know how to make homemade tomato sauce for pasta.
If you don’t know how to make your own sauce and are still using sauce in jars from the supermarket, this is a good time to try making your own! In this post, we will show and tell you how to prepare tomato sauce in the Rena Ware style, with texture, flavor, and aroma that blend perfectly to transform pasta, or any dish you want, into a delicious and memorable experience.
Let’s start cooking!
Cut a shallow cross at the top of each tomato. This will make it easy to remove the skin later. Add 2 cups of water to the utensil and then add the tomatoes. Cover the utensil with the Nutri ✓ Sensor in the “Open” position and close it after the whistle sounds. Reduce the temperature to low and cook with the valve closed for 5 minutes more.
Remove the tomatoes and place them in a bowl of cold water. Let them sit until they are at room temperature and then remove the skin. Place the tomatoes in another bowl and with the Masher from the Kitchen tool Set, crush them, taking care to leave some pieces of tomato to give your sauce texture.
Next, preheat the 3 Liter utensil and add one tablespoon of olive oil. Also add the garlic, and onion and sauté for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Stir in the tomatoes and season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook for 5 minutes. Finally, add tomato paste, basil, thyme, oregano and a spoonful of sugar or honey. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 15 more minutes and your tomato sauce will be done.
Believe us! This recipe produces a tomato sauce with a delicious touch you won’t find in a jar. What are you waiting for to enjoy it?
