Lettuce Wraps

It’s a new year, and you will probably want to start the new year right with a healthy lifestyle. So today, we thought we would show you how to make these delicious wraps stuffed with Asian-style ground beef, with a twist! We swapped the traditional corn tortillas and used lettuce leaves instead. It is hard to believe how such a small change can make such a big difference!

Lettuce Wraps

1 pound ground beef
½ onion, chopped
1 teaspoon of sesame oil
1 garlic clove, minced
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons oyster sauce
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
½ tablespoon sugar
1 carrot
½ cup of peanuts
Lettuce leaves
1 teaspoon of Sriracha sauce (optional)

To prepare the Asian-style sauce, use a Spoonula to mix together the rice vinegar, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar and, if you want a spicy touch, the Sriracha sauce.

Next, preheat the 1.5 Litre Utensil on the Induction Cooker, and then add the sesame oil and sauté the onion until translucent. Add the finely minced garlic clove, as well as the ground beef, and stir well with the Spoonula.

After two minutes, stir in the Asian-style sauce, and let it cook for five more minutes, then incorporate the grated carrot and chopped peanuts.

That’s it! Now just place the meat on the lettuce leaves and roll each one into a wrap or taco. We suggest you to serve them with sweet chilli sauce; it’s delicious!
