Making a special meal for Dad this Father’s Day using only ingredients from your pantry is possible thanks to this recipe for Easy Tuna Pasta.

Both tuna and dried pasta keep for a long time on the shelf, and you probably already have some in your kitchen. Why not put these staples to good use by pampering Dad!

In the future, we will have the opportunity to celebrate Dad with a more elaborate meal. In the meantime, recipes like this are a delicious, simple, and inexpensive option you can prepare with ingredients you already have.

Easy Tuna Pasta

If you do not have one or two of the ingredients, you can replace them or leave them out. This recipe is also a great way to use up any extra vegetables you have on hand.

Easy Tuna Pasta

  • 1 can of tuna in water or oil (drained)

  • ½ cup chopped onions

  • 1 clove of garlic minced

  • 1 tsp of olive oil

  • 8 oz dried pasta noodles

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1 tbsp of lemon juice

  • Grated Parmesan cheese

  • 3/4 cup of pasta water


  • Cook the pasta in the 5 Litre utensil with the Nutri √ Sensor in the “vent” position. Remove the pasta, reserving ¾ cup of the water.
  • In the same utensil, add the olive oil and sauté the onions for a few minutes or until translucent. Add the garlic and cook for a few extra minutes.
  • Add the tuna and cook for two more minutes. Stir in the reserved pasta water and lemon juice.  Return the pasta to the utensil. Mix well. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • To finish and to add more aroma and flavor, sprinkle on some fresh parsley and grated Parmesan cheese. The dish is ready to serve.
