The holiday season is filled with traditions that families pass down from generation to generation. Every family has its own, but there is one special tradition that we think all families should have and that is reheating and sharing the left-overs!

Families gather to spend time together and enjoy meals from the night before. If this isn’t a tradition in your family circle, keep reading because everyone will love it. If you made a pork roast and have some leftovers, you can turn them into a delicious meal as we did by preparing Cuban Sandwiches.

Not sure yet? Imagine a delicious sandwich with melted swiss cheese, ham and mustard. Yummy right. Let’s cook!

Cuban Sandwiches

Slice the bread in half. Turn each half of the bread with the inner side up. Spread mustard on one half, and butter on the other one. Remember, it’s the Holiday season, you can spread as much as you want!

Place swiss cheese slices on both halves; when the cheese melts it will stick to the meats and pickles, making your sandwiches even tastier! Then, add the ham and pork to the half spread with butter, and finally cover with pickles and the other half of the bread.

Cuban Sandwiches

Brush the outside of the loaf with olive oil and place it on the Grill Pan to make your sandwiches crispy. Wait about 5 minutes then turn the loaf with the Beveled turner and wait until the other side is ready.

It’s done! Now, you can slice and enjoy this exquisite Cuban Sandwich. You have everything you need at home, and it’s a creative way to enjoy your leftovers.

Ingredients

  • Rolls

  • 8 oz pork roast

  • 8 oz ham slices

  • 8 oz swiss cheese

  • Pickles

  • 1/4 cup mustard

  • 1/4 cup butter

  • Olive oil to taste

Directions
