These days, when we aren’t getting out as much as usual, we may not have all the ingredients we would like in our pantries. That’s why this recipe for Broccoli Soup is such a great idea since we already had most of the ingredients and the others are easy to find. The result is a nutritious soup full of flavor that everyone in your home will love.

Creamy Broccoli Soup

This recipe doesn’t call for butter, cream, or cheese, but the soup is still very creamy since you blend the broccoli. Also, it is a perfect recipe to get children to eat their vegetables, without even noticing. Great idea, right? Now, we have to get started and enjoy this recipe!

  • 12 oz of broccoli florets

  • 3/4 cup chopped onion

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 teaspoon of Italian herbs

  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil

  • 4 cups of chicken broth (or vegetable if you prefer vegan)

  • Salt and pepper to taste


  • In the 3 Litre utensil, heat the olive oil and sauté the onions for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Next, add the garlic and Italian herbs and sauté for one minute more. Stir in the broccoli and sauté for a few more minutes.
  • Add the chicken broth and cover the utensil with the Nutri ✓ Sensor in the “Open” position. When the whistle sounds, turn it to the “Closed” position. Cook on low heat for 10 minutes more.
  • Carefully, transfer the broccoli with the broth to a blender and blend. Remember to do this with caution to avoid burns due handling hot food and liquid.
  • Return the mixture to the utensil and cook for 5 more minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste and your broccoli soup is ready! Serve with croutons and enjoy. Simple, right?
